The Blush for MS Gala will be running for its second time, after an incredible inaugural year. In March of 2018, we were able to raise over $6,300 in support of the MS Society of Canada, an honourable achievement for our 1st year!

 

The MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society of Canada (Charitable Registration #: 10774 6174 RR0001) is an organization that provides services to people with MS and their families, and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. MS has been labelled "Canada's disease" and this is because Canada has the highest rate of MS in the world, with an estimated 1 in every 340 Canadians living with the illness.

 

MS is a disease that affects the central nervous system that strikes young adults usually between the ages of 20 and 40. Some symptoms may include loss of balance, impaired vision and hearing, fatigue, muscle weakness and, in some, paralysis. Even simple everyday tasks become increasingly difficult. Everyone is affected differently by these symptoms. MS is devastating because it is so unpredictable. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of the disease cannot be foreseen. You never know when attacks will occur, how long they will last, or how severe they will be.

 

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, the Blush for MS Gala will be returning for its second year. Come join us for a night of delicious food, fantastic prizes and amazing entertainment!
